I think Special Effects must have been smoking something when they came up with this color. It's weird. It seems to have a wildly different affect on different hair types. It's definitely a lighter shade of blue-purple. Almost periwinkle. Purple Smoke fades faster than most Special Effects colors. I had to use an entire bottle and half to get the color pictured here. And my hair is really short!! If you're going for a neat light periwinkle color and you have really really really light bleached hair, this is the color for you! But if you're looking for a jaw dropping cool purple that lasts, check out Pimpin Purple instead.

Special Effects Hair Color lasts 3-6 weeks depending on the condition of your hair, if it was bleached first, and how often you wash it. It is vegan and not tested on animals. These colors are not available as permanent dyes.
